Libraries are our friends
Wouldn't reading library books, or books borrowed from friends and family be the most environmental option? You are not creating the demand for more books (and thus more paper production, transportation emissions, etc.), and you get the enjoyment of holding a book in your hand and can read it anywhere without electricity. Too bad that "eco-carpet" made with solar/renewable energy was shipped from CA to NY (presumably with use of fossil fuels).
