    I had a friend who worked at a chicken processing plant (or soemthing of that nature) in texas.  Ever found anything blue or purplish in a chicken mcnugget?  Yup, that's a scab.  They take every part of the chicken, including the rejects for meat (ie, the really gross stuff) and grind it up into nuggets.  Gross.  I'll never eat a chicken mcnugget again.On That's it for me and industrial meat posted 2 years, 9 months ago 46 Responses

    My broke ass can't afford organic dog food.  However, I did recently learn an interesting tidbit that improved my dog's life without ruining my finances: apparently alot of dogs are allergic to wheat and corn, two common ingredients in alot of conventional dog foods.  My dog was getting pretty sick from the food I was feeding him; he was drooling alot, lethargic, and foaming at the mouth (no it wasn't rabies, he has his shots).  My vet suggested switching his food and eliminating the wheat and corn cured his ills.  A friend of mine had a similar experience.On Popping your (organic) cherry posted 2 years, 9 months ago 21 Responses
