    Thanks for the thoughtful article on the Tibetan Express.  A few months ago there was a very good article on the train's impact on trade in endangered species.  The article is still available at this link.

    The article basically points out that the lower cost and ease of transport of the train makes moving endangered species products like the pelts and bones of tigers and snow leopards from Lhasa to Beijing very easy and cost effective.

  • Snow Leopards and Holiday Gifts
