  • What we can expect from King George

The reasons why the energy bill will be vetoed are varied in my opinion.

First and foremost, any restrictions on the energy lobby or the the oil industry are anathema to this administration.

Secondly, George wants to remind us that he is still King.

Maintenance of the status quo is very important, with emphasis on new coal and nuclear power plants. Huge infrastructure costs will be paid for by an unsuspecting public so that large utilities and corporations can continue to get larger at the expense of the environment and to the detriment of our quality of life.

Spain recently built an 11 megawatt solar powered facility which uses an array of solar mirrors to turn steam turbines and generate a non polluting, renewable source of electricity.

Why can't we do these type of projects here?On Enviros delighted with House Democrats' energy bill posted 2 years, 1 month ago 2 Responses

  • Grow your own!

Grow your own food, maybe not everything but
it is easy to grow vegetables in pots outside during the season.

Grass cuttings placed on top of the soil can help keep the watering down a bit.

Coffee grounds are great for acid loving plants like evergreens.

Epsom salts may not be organic but they help plants grow better.

Roses seem to love a sprinkling by their roots and vegetables also can benefit from epsom salts.

Magnesium Sulfate is the chemical name for Epsom Salts. On A journey into the heart of industrial agriculture posted 2 years, 1 month ago 2 Responses
