  • I dunno

I'm beginning to wonder if Americans are even that astute to see that the same thing could happen to us, perhaps in denial or delusional? Our government definitely is,too  many of the politicians are too self interested and egotistical or "religious" to care about the environment. Why do the American people elect losers anyway.Hey sorry if I don't agree that the bottom line and the economy and my pocket book aren't the only reasons I vote. When I read about the FDA and EPA and how they have been undermined, it makes me cringe. It shows me that there is a great deal of incompetence at the top, as well as faulty decision making. The problem with American people they just put up with it or do nothing but gripe, when they could do something about it. Sorry to say we get the government we really deserve and we act like helpless victims to boot, something our forefathers would turn over in their graves about, they meant us to  participate in the political process and to hold our leaders accountable and to get rid of bad government if we deemed it necessary. On top of that we believe everything the damned fools say and don't really educate ourselves on the issues and they get by with murder while we act dumbfounded. The thing is many of our leaders are not even trustworthy or ethical, but have become cynical old men corrupted by greed and power. I guess Americans are "gluttons" for punnishment. Will we ever learn????????? I guess if we get to the  point when we end up in a similar situation  like Australia , we might "get it." But the it is too late, the damage is done.On Are Americans smart enough to learn from Australia's crisis? posted 2 years, 6 months ago 9 Responses

  • The Godly must be crazy

Well at least the religious right buffoons must be (Crazy). If they believe in such a dismal future, why do they still have children, do these people know what kind of message they are sending to  the younger generation? "Folks no hope, no future, so we don't need to do anything about what is revelant or  present day crises because Jesus is a comin' and the end times are at hand." What a bunch of pathetic losers. And yes, it does act as  a self fulfilling prophecy in many ways, alot of things don't happen without a human hand in it ,like "uh" wars, or depletion of natural resources, or the extinction of animals or  other species and destruction of environment. I would say if these people have no hope for a future they must have some death wish, so why don't they just shoot themselves in the head or something. And since they have such a bleak outlook on the future why on earth are they bringing children into the world, not to have any ( Future)? They make no sense. But that is nothing new with the relgious right they are beyond reason. We are not helpless victims of unforseeable circumstances , we as human beings do alot to help  mold and shape circumstances, so we have alot of power to turn things around for the better if we make that commitment and want to change things and have things turn out diffrently, but it takes the village, but of course not a village of fantical religious idiots. What a shame that they don't care enough to want to make a better future for their own children. It has always been the faith and endeavor of good people who wanted to  change things for the better that have actually set out to accomplish those dreams and many times making them come true.  They do accomplish something but people who are just waiting around for the rapture  certainly aren't serving their God in any meaningful way. They are just selfish, self centered and nihilisticOn Christian-right views are swaying politicians and threatening the environment posted 2 years, 6 months ago 3 Responses
