  • pit rock

I have been using a Chrystal for about 8 years. Back then I wondered why my pits would smell soon after a shower. After using a magnifying glass and straining my neck, I noticed stuff at the base of many hairs. Something that shouldn't be there. And no, it wasn't moving. Scrubbing with soap and then alcohol, did nothing. I finally shaved and then started using the Chrystal. I have been stink free for years. On Making a stink about green(ish) deodorants posted 1 year, 3 months ago 36 Responses

  • reel mowers

A word of caution for people considering a reel mower. They do work if you have a nice lawn with only one type of grass and no "weeds". If you are like me, your lawn is a jumble of plants full of different textures and growth rates. A reel mower just isn't up to the task of cutting this type of lawn. It's a great idea and I wish it would work but don't waste your time or money on a tool like this.On How to green your yard -- even more posted 1 year, 6 months ago 9 Responses

  • tub and lav drains...

You all are making too much work out of this. These two drains are usually clogged by hair and lint and the slim that starts to grow on it. Remove the covers, grab a flashlight and use a small piece of wire (coathanger size)with a little hook on the end, or a hemostat, and just reach in and start removing the gunk. Place it on a paper towel that is nearby and throw away. You don't need any chemicals or mixes for these drains....usually. This method does put you close to your gunk, but it does work.On Umbra on unclogging without chemicals posted 4 years, 6 months ago 9 Responses
