  • Hello fello Gristers,

My first reaction was, "This new format is bad".  However, I will say that on occasion, I have objected to changing websites.  However...

My judgement is still, "This new format is bad."  Why?  Because the other one was clear, easy to use, and attractive.  Why mess with a good thing?

  • Great - but not nearly enough

This is a nice bill, but not enough.  Fairly weak RPS, no CAFE standards (!), solar residential tax credit remains capped at $2000 while our solar industry lags behind other countries, and plenty of bio-fuel pork.

We can do better.  On Dream a Little Ream of Me posted 2 years, 3 months ago 3 Responses

  • And, solar is already here

Thanks, David, for giving us the update on thin-film.

Its important for readers to know that they don't have to wait for solar to undergo the "revolution" in order to get it on their roof today.

And, overall, we need leaders, not tech watchers, to stop global warming. On It's coming soon posted 2 years, 4 months ago 15 Responses

  • economy of the living

"my personal preference for individual, in-person, small businesses in the living landscape of my city. "

Word. For me, the crucial factor will always be, "What consumption pattern supports the world that I want to live in."  I want to live in a world where I buy things from people who have a face, a family, fears and hopes, art, joy, and tragedy.

I cannot feel, hear, smell, or otherwise sense a person on the computer screen, so I tend only to do my nasty multinational corporation financing stuff online. On Umbra on online shopping posted 2 years, 6 months ago 22 Responses
