    Interesting-- and thanks!  The pro-choice lobby could have a whole new life (no pun intended) by getting behind "carbon choices".... There are MANY tough decisions ahead relating to climate changes to come... why not let some people pay more to consume solar-based super vehicles... surely we can discuss this.  Try thinking in triage terms- save, leave to manage or allow to die - ActonClimateOn Energy is all the rage at this year's gathering posted 1 year, 3 months ago 3 Responses

    Good fo rher!  Discussions of responses to climate change, which to date have been focussed on mitigation (the reduction of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere) and adaptation (supporting communities to live in warmer and hydrologically more extreme climates), must now consider a fund/no fund response strategy - see e.g www.climatechangetriage.net

  • Money may be needed for climate change triage

    Your review is good and so is Obama's policy AS FAR AS IT GOES... but the world is moving much much faster than US policy -- even from good guys like BO.  Many of us now feel that climate change 'triage' is on us-- not a nice thought but real I fear!
    Triage is applied in an emergency to allow the most globally beneficial use of inadequate resources. There will be severe climate disruptions, which will be left untreated because they will be recognized as able to recover autonomously. Selected climatically-induced emergencies where tax-payers' money can reduce suffering will be funded.
