  • Energy Bill 2007

It is too bad that Mr. Romney is all talk and little action.  All of the candidates say they want better climate control regulations, but few are willing to back current proposed standards like the 2007 Energy Bill.

While the Romneys of the world may come and go, global warming is here to stay until the proper regulations are passed by the Federal Government.  There is still time to learn more about CAFE and RES standards and how fuel and energy upgrades will benefit the American economy and environment.  Go to http://energybill2007.us to sign the petition for better climate control! On A look at Mitt Romney's environmental platform and record posted 2 years ago 4 Responses

This is good news to hear.  I hate the 4hr drive from Detroit to Chicago, which is traffic heavy and stressful.  I gladly take the train and hopefully the expansion and update of the Amtrak rails will convince more individuals to choose this alternative transportation method.

There is still time for readers to get behind the Energy bill currently being debated in Congress.  Check out www.energybill2007.org and learn more about the benefits of upgrading fuel and energy standards. On Public transit will be necessary for CO2 reductions posted 2 years ago 5 Responses

  • One Point Goes to CAFE

Its great to hear that Citigroup has taken the time to go through the economical implications of applying the CAFE standards into the lives of Americans.  It gives me the indication once again that the ones hit hardest with changes will be the car manufacturing industry.  While I have a slight symphathy for all American car companies that have to deal with new corporate average fuel standards (not really, it's their job), it really pushes my buttons that they can not just accept that America needs change.  It is clear that America is becoming more consciouness of enviromentalism. Lets move forward instead of keeping our feet bared in the sand and sinking down.  Check out http://energybill2007.us to learn more about CAFE and RES standards and what you can do to help Congress make a decision that will affect our live in a tremendously positive way. • Energy Bill 2007

    hey Joseph

Thanks for getting the word out about http://www.energybill2007.us.

The ACEEE would like the House of Representatives to pass their proposed regulation of every car, lightweight, and heavyweight truck of a 35 mpg standard by 2020. This would be the first time since regulations have gone into effect that heavyweight vehicles would be included in an annual regulation.  ACEEE's goal is to lower the United State's oil dependency by 2.5 Billion barrels per day in 2030.

Additionally, the Renewable Energy Standard is asking the Senate to implement is an U.S. government regulation of energy sources be maintained at a 15% renewable energy standard.  Predicted to save 40 Billion kWH by 2020, the Union of Concerned Scientist claim that if the government required up to 20% of renewable energy standards by 2020, the nation would see an additional 355,000 new high-paying jobs and save consumers atleast $49 Billion on their electric/natural gas bills.

These reasons have pushed my interest toward learning more about CAFE and RES.  If anyone want to learn more about these provisions, definitely check out the link above.
