replanting roo?
i'm assuming that all that bad air quality is coming from a dust bowl effect. wouldn't it be cool if they took all of the wastewater and turned it into fertlizer to restore the grounds to oxygen producing lands again?
talk about a way to offset the CO2 for the event that would (in my mind at least) be a better investment than some of the so-called credits on the market...from what i hear, its possible with a bit of ingenuity...

wow. clean vibes is doing some awesome stuff. really like their recommendations to achieve the "smallest Bonnaroo Footprint possible" because thats what the goal would seem to be...
a few of my favorites:
Carpool. The less stuff you stack, the more people you can pack!
Think reusable before you buy disposable!
Smokers - bring an ashtray!(my pet peeve)
will be interesting to see how they improve upon last years numbers and wonder what is going to the landfill instead of being recycled?
cheers,

green bonnaroo
looking forward to updates sarah. some pretty cool stuff going on at the festival!
the green touring and sustainability of the music industry is really moving forward in recent years. lots of festivals and events like bonaroo, lollapalooza, sasquatch etc are going green.
the recycling seems key, would be great if they could move that number closer to %100 than %50.
i also am a bit skeptical off the offsets vs things like public transport, wind/solar power but that just me...
if your interested in this sort of stuff reverb, music matters and atctower.net have some cool resources for bands and fans alike!
stay dry,
