That's totally awesome! You should send it to Speaker of the House Pelosi! On A 'sense of the House' resolution to adopt 350 ppm as America's official climate target posted 1 year, 5 months ago 13 Responses
Clinton
I am a Illinoisan.
I also was a die-hard supporter of Hillary Clinton.
Either vote for Barack Obama Or Ralph Nader Or Bob Barr.I can't actually vote so it doesn't matter, but i will remain undecided this year. I agree more with Nader than Obama--I prefer views that are more on the Palestinian side & to cut down on nuclear (not completely though, like Nader)but I don't want to throw support behind someone who won't win. Barr's pretty cool too, and i like McCain as a person.

Solar is a viable energy source, especially for little things like calculators & lights. It help the solar industry when you buy those. And there are 2 solar powered buildings in Chicago:
The Field Museum 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive Chicago, IL 60605-2496
Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum
2430 N. Cannon Drive, Chicago, IL 60614And by buying solar lights & calculators and paying carbon credits for renewable energy, we can help even if we dont have panels on our roof!On Nevada Solar one is a better and smaller neighbor than a coal mine posted 1 year, 6 months ago 80 Responses
It's how much Co2, not what energy
Sure, ACCCE should be grateful that the bill concedes a bit to their industry. And this is how I see us getting through the future.
Stage 1: While museums, commercial, coporate, & public buildings, and houses should find out how to fix solar panels on their roofs, condominium-owners & house owners (and the former as well) should wean themselves of power by using energy-savers,like Flourescent Bulbs, hybrids, public transport.
Stage 2: Convert completely to solar, wind, & hydro
Lieberman-Warner should be enacted. But we'll need Clean Coal, and some nuclear, to carry us through the first stage. After all, It's how much Co2, not what energyOn Coal industry launches full-scale attack against climate legislation posted 1 year, 6 months ago 5 Responses
