Comments Glauke has made
- Okay, I read the piece now. It's a lot better then I expected. But the comments...ouch! But I do wish Broder would also take a look at who pays inhofe and morano. On Is John Broder embarrassed to have a baseless hit job on Gore under his byline? posted 3 weeks, 2 days ago 25 Responses
Pollan
Of course I'm happy you guys got your elections right this time, but Michael Pollan is a guy who really showed me something new.

Moral of the Story
I wasn't too impressed by QoS, but I loved the moral of the story

Seems to me that these reporters don't want to be too hard on her -it's easy to come off as a bully. Or they don't fully grasp the concepts involved -entirely possible. On Palin can't name a single man-made cause of climate change posted 1 year, 1 month ago 7 Responses
Klaus vs Gore
My father was vehemently anti-communist in the sixties in the left-wing town he studied. He always taught me that people who do not want you to know the facts (as above) are a danger.
It is sad that one of the most prominent dissidents has now gone over to the dark side of fact-deniers. And really really bad.

...well, not really: I live in The Netherlands, so I can't compare it to the situation in the States.
I commute to work by train (Leiden-The Hague, approx. 15 minutes), and my lover lives in another town, some two hours away.
In my experience, the Decisive Factor is the reliability of service: if I cannot count on trains to get me to work (or lover) on time, I cannot use their services. But I can, so I do: I read a book, or the paper. Listen to the news.
There are toilets available, and I've never-ever experienced anything remotely like the pervert-factor wreckenhavoc seems to fear, nor has anyone I know. But then, I live in Europe :)On Will train travel get annoying too? posted 1 year, 2 months ago 12 Responses
