  • One Step

We need to recognize the process of change . We are not there , but this is a step in the right direction.
Switchgrass is a larger co2 sinkhole than an established forest . It is a crop you plant once and then mow like your lawn. It also provides habitat and can be planted on marginal lands ( think sides of the road, CRP ground) because the water requirement is not traditional as in soy , corn etc.
This creates closed fuel loops . Farmers in a co-operative structure can use the fuel they grow and sell it locally. This is ONE mechanism to a complex problem . We are used to thinking in a singular fuel mind set. Soon we will see technologies open up an enormous market to everyone. Not Exxon etc. We need to stay vigilant to keep the profits in communities that have the environmental and economic indicators to produce cellulose ethanol. Think Mom and Pop , Farmer co-op's and communities. Then move into other area's.

  • OVERTHROW THE OIL REGIME

We have no where to go but into our communities for resolution and sustainable solutions. Collective communities making a conscious if not  inconvenient choices we will stem the tide. This is an amazing time to push for hemp. Ask the Ford motor company of the 1930's what the future held for oil ? It was hemp.
(www.villagegreenergy.com ) We have a true patriotic duty to inform select and influence our local governments to act responsibly to this impending crisis. Can we not rise to the challenge and implement the ( OLD ) science of sustainability? It is not new , not unproven and surely let us measure the trade off of doing nothing .On World's leading energy monitor worried about oil supply posted 1 year, 6 months ago 3 Responses

  • Evil Monsanto's

Hah ha . That guy' laughing all the way to the bank !!!
Read Vanity Fairs green issue to see where Monsanto's comes from. They have REAL skeletons in their collective closets and their own Gestapo. When they control the price of food thru GMO seeds etc etc. We are sheeple who reward criminals like Monsanto's.
Who can equate the social , environmental , let alone the CO2 footprint of this GIANT BAD SEED !!!
And can you point out the bread made with their products???On Monsanto execs make millions off farmers' backs posted 1 year, 6 months ago 5 Responses

  • Stupid end of the Shovel

Wouldn't it be grand if we all showed up with our opinions where it matters? Our local government. And educated in a fashion that shares goals instead of your shade of green? This is all starting to feel like organized religions all to predominant habit of faith comparison.( I'm a better Mormon , Catholic , Buddhist etc than you.)
It is all things faith, science, business, politics, the state of our planet. Above all more wok than opinion.

Someone please , get on the stupid end of the shovel. On Wired magazine bursts a blood vessel doing its contrarian thing posted 1 year, 6 months ago 18 Responses
