  • Executive Order

Well...a quick memo from lame President Duh-bya saying it's okay if they don't should clear that right up.

It seems, though, that anyone who owns contaminated sites should be responsible for cleaning them up.  That's just playing nice with the earth as far as I'm concerned.

  • Wow!

It's all I can do not to play the cynic and wonder what they're up to...but this is fantastic news.  That saves a few mountains here in Kentucky. On Colorado utility voluntarily shuts down two coal plants posted 1 year, 3 months ago 6 Responses

  • Yes...it is news!

The point that Grist is trying to make, in my opinion, is that it's finally taking effect rather than continuing on its catastrophic path.  Rather than having the businessperson bury their head in the sand, they're starting to see that it helps to "go green."  I, for one, am thrilled that even though it's costing more, people are starting to get it.On U.S. economy shifting to -- gasp! -- efficiency posted 1 year, 3 months ago 7 Responses

  • Fair Trade?

One ton of coal = one barrel of diesel fuel?  That's a terrible transaction.  Of course, I'm sure it was a terrible transaction for the Crow when the white man moved them to a reservation in the first place.  I suppose they're just making the best of the worst situation.  Not that justification makes it any better...but you have to feel sorry for the native tribes of America after what's been done to them over the last 400+ years. On Crow Tribe strikes $7 billion deal for coal-to-liquids plant on reservation posted 1 year, 3 months ago 7 Responses

  • Not to split hairs

Now if Google would just add biking directions, we'd be set.

Wouldn't biking directions be the same as car directions since bikes are vehicles...or are there utopian areas for cyclists (such as myself) where we don't have to deal with the boorish behavior of some motorists? On Google Maps adds walking directions posted 1 year, 4 months ago 4 Responses

  • I don't suppose...

I don't suppose that we could get BushCo. to celebrate the end of their term with a succession of "cut" days...or have they already used all of those up?
