The Karma is Better
This is pretty awesome. Still the greenest and best looking car I've seen in recent years is the Fisker Karma. UNBELIEVABLY COOL DESIGN! see:

and that's an American car. I say let the big three eat it. Let the new american companies emerge. On Volkswagen Jetta TDI: 2009 Green Car of the Year posted 1 year ago 10 Responses
Energy Czar -- Who's gonna be...?
I think the DOE would have to
1)seriously improve their cafeteria standards
2)build a runway for Eric's new jet
3)fire 3/4 of the useless people that work therebefore E.S. would leave Mountain View. Isn't this guy a burning man regular? Why would he want to work at the Department of Energy?
I came across another article with other long shots. http://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/who-will-be-the-ne ...
It doesn't seem any of the good choices want the job. Gore only wants to be Secetary of State. Rendell is not leaving his cushy Governor gig. Jeffrey Sachs happy to remain special assistant to the UN, and not jump ship.
BUT C'MON SOMEONE HAS TO BUILD THE SMART GRID.

Al Gore
I think it's ashame that Gore wants no part in the new administration. Secretary of State would be an excellent post to spread the good news green. http://www.greentechmedia.com/

WHO WILL BE THE ENERGY CZAR?
Another important question is who is going to head up the Dept of Energy???
People like to joke about Al Gore or Arnold Schwarzenegger, but who are the real contenders?
One article I found so far discussed some choices:

the new MEME
RIGHT ON BERKELEY. Increasingly, I think that this is an important MEME that needs to redefine how we look at residential solar -- comparing it to cell phone use, and the fact that nobody in their right mind would want to build the actual infrastructure that supports the network. It's the same with soalr. WE ONLY WANT THE BENEFITS (through service plans).
As my fascination for all things solar has increased in the past 18 months, another great source of news that I've come to love and trust is
