PRO OR CON
I dont think meetings pro sports, conf. business meetings or any gathering is condusive to a greener society and for that matter sunday church. the idea that personal identity is some how related to gathering together and using up uneeded resources is in my opinion a waste. mountain men (people) had a rendezvous once a year and that maybe to much now a days but hey thats just my way.On Major League Baseball going, going, green! posted 1 year, 4 months ago 9 Responses
its all good
no harm done just feeling a little sensitive as i am new to this blogging thing. dont know the rules and so on but aside from that your right about the spelling and grammer and for that what i am talking about. mostly it's my opinion based on what i read and i just kinda dig this blogging thing and the exchange of ideas did not mean any insult. my apologies if i said anything wrong.

Its all about a vision we have short sighted people who have no choice and dont have the time to see beyond getting their kids to school and putting some food on the table and aswering questions like why cant i have an ipod? then we have far sighted people who have good ideas with out the ability to fully explain all the little details.how do we rebuild the infrastructre or how can we afford the new powerplant. history tells us that the details will be figured out by bright individuals that will be born into this challenge washington and adams hamilton jefferson they had good and bad around them and none was popular all the time. but evetually we did get to have a country but now it's time for a remodeling i say it's a good challenge worthy of our generation. people that complain should put themselves on their parents shoes or maybe even their grandparents and see if they could swallow that medicine.

sounds like someone is a little angry or maybe not. what i do know is that both sides are little touchy on this subject. on the right you have people who cant seem to change and they want their steak and potato's now. on the left we have the people who have given up their steak and are content with potato's but not with the idea that we have to wait for others to change. i on the other hand am willing to wait and take action when the time is right. you know like one of those wolf hunters all cami'd out. i am waiting to take my enviromental shot. besides who said anything about food i thought this was a blog about drilling in alaska diet choices and all we have to decide if were americans or something else. although i personally dont agree with drilling in alaska or want to see it scared-up. there is a chance that i am wrong.

our forefathers
I have given this a great deal of thought regarding our energy challenge and being a student of history it seems to me that our issues are not much different than our forefathers issue with slavery they believed that the colonies could not operate without it however as we know not only could we but at great cost of human life mostly our own brothers. this is mainly a problem of personal perception as to how we value our self image. the energy issue has resolved itself as the solution may not be clear to us at present. the seeds of an energy revolution are planted. oilshale not unlike federalism will go the way of the dinosaurs but our brothers and sisters here must be patient as change takes time. I fear that i may not be here to reep the rewards of the battles to be fought but i have and will teach my childern that the fight must be won at all cost.

you know i never got that all these hypothetical percentages why dont they just say we closed these oil wells for 6 hours on the 23rd and just left it at that. tomorrow when i go to the gas station. at least there will be a bad verifiable reason why i am paying 4.50 a gallon for gas. lack of sunshine for my "SOUL"AR panels
i looked into solar panels last year and after a lot of online and person to person interviews found that as of yet solar panels were still not economicaly viable. but aside from that if your going to put up the panels dont you think you might go outside and look at your roof and see if the area in question is sun worthy these units are not cheap. Now you have an angry neighbor and some expensive solar panels that wont get as much sun as they might have gotten if you had planned it differently. you might have started by talking to your neighbor as people would do in any community. you know try to work something out I dont think he will cut any of his trees down for a long time NOWOn Trees win in California solar panels vs. redwoods dispute posted 1 year, 4 months ago 9 Responses
netroot meeting
did anyone out there think of this before they planned it. meetings, gatherings, or whatever you want to call it are by it's very nature prescribed to creating waste and are in my opinion extremly ungreen. think of bathrooms toilet paper , soap, water, the heat caused by thousands of people in close proximity to others. vehicle because i am sure even if all showed up in a toyata prius with 5 people in a car it would still be a cluster. then there are the food and snack vendors ice and refrigeration needed to keep people and food cool it all seems to go against the grain of what we are trying to create which at its core is a society that in total just doesnt consume as much.

i have something to say about htis topic as well. i have been to idaho and wyoming and yes there is is alot of antiwolf sentiment up their but by the oldtimers and rancher types but tollerance is what i teach my childern as well as the fact that time is on the side of childern and educating is the way. wolves have and incredible ability to survive and and to expand their territory i have first hand knowledge of sightings as far south as fort garland colorado and although one wolf a day is just crazy i have more hope for the wolf than the wolf hating population ignorance is the biggest killer of all On Endangered-species protections reinstated for gray wolves posted 1 year, 4 months ago 17 Responses
the only way i can eat
I have something to say about everything and wrong or right i believe in eating only fruits vegetables, nuts and grassfed beef and non farmed fish and fowl personally i dont think people should eat any grains or beans and you can add salt and sugar to that list. for me it was a matter of my health as every doctor i saw could not do anything for my condition. but to offer me more medication and then write in their reports that it did not work. just got tired of being a test animal. On How author Betsy Block convinced her finicky family to mend their dietary ways posted 1 year, 4 months ago 25 Responses
profit to the mountain
i know its cheesy play on words but i am a huge supporter of locally grown foods and i think if you organize the local farmers it is possible to get the locals in telluride and durango to drive the distance to buy your goods. organization of people and ideas is the key to reaching your goals think along the lines of a co-op. americans like to shop i say drive walmart out and use the building for a co-op cortez rocks and although some would complain about a 3 dollar bag of spinach you get what you pay for. i wouldnt think of feeding my family anything less i just teach my family to live without cell phones and ipods
thank you
