Bob,
Stupidity? From an independent, I find it ironic that the compassionate, "party of the people" that is supposedly for mainstream America rather than the "Republican Elite" is so critical of what a guy did 50+ YEARS AGO when he was in HIGH SCHOOL?
Abortion is fine,
smoking weed is fine,
cheating on your wife is fine,
but struggling in high school - now that is where we draw the line. Because high school is the real proving ground for success as a President.PS - Put the Carbon Back - Hydrogen fuel cell cars are already on the road. You might google hydrogen fuel cell to find Boeing, BMW, Ford, GM and many others using hydrogen for a myriad of purposes. On McCain's 10 energy lies top Palin's four posted 1 year, 2 months ago 12 Responses
Off with the gloves already
jeepers. Your "critique" drips of partisanship and makes for very little helpful conversation. Your post makes no point other than a portrayal of your preconceived political opinions. As an independent it is interesting to watch both sides of the aisle try to stake a claim in addressing climate change.
I read a recent study that you would find interesting about who has a more green lifestyle - republicans or democrats.

I've always been a Honda fan, matter of fact, I've never owned a car that wasn't a Honda. But the design...now the FCX Clarity is cool; if it were going for 18,500 - sold. Give us the FCX Clarity!

They sure are spending the lions share of their marketing efforts towards appearing green, what with sponsoring Planet Green and all. Especially since their chairman said global warming is a crock.

We recently came across an interesting survey that revealed the green views and habits of Democrats and Republicans. Apparently, Rep's and Dem's have differing views but in their actions they are actually quite similar.

Read an interesting post on who is the greenest candidate.

I am trying to figure out which candidate is really interested in taking solid steps or which one is just appeasing. I want a proactive President, not one that merely has a record of votes but rather a record of instigating eco-friendly measures. a little late...very late. The next president will take a seat the same year as the expiration of the Kyoto Protocol and will really need to generate a strategy for addressing climate change. I am still on the fence as to who it should be mainly because I am still on the fence as to how it should be addressed.

It is interesting to see the progress that Walmart has made in its effort to go "green" and the CEO's frank discussion of the companys effort. It seems they are more green, and prompting a greater awareness of green than any other company. Walmart was the only retailer to ask suppliers to curb their greenhouse emissions after a report published by CLSA recently. See post -

Whoa cowboy. "Business" embodies a wide range of professions - accountants, managers, financial, supply chain, human resources, international development, marketing etc. So anybody that works for a business is only interested in money? You make a very stretched linkage to ones profession and personal beliefs. That's the beauty of being green - people from all walks of life are finding ways to make a difference in their profession. The marketing profession for example set up this website - http://www.green-it-forward.com/
