    MORE ENVIRO-SCAMS:

    The corn ethanol scam,

North American agribusinesses grow massive amounts of corn, based not on any sane economic rationale but on subsidies they extort from governments. Much of that corn is turned into cheap sweeteners, which make their way into the food system and explain much of the North American obesity epidemic. Since there is still too much corn left, they came up with the ethanol scam:
". . . researchers at Cornell University and the University of California-Berkeley say it takes 29 percent more fossil energy to turn corn into ethanol than the amount of fuel the process produces. For switch grass, a warm weather perennial grass found in the Great Plains and eastern North America United States, it takes 45 percent more energy and for wood, 57 percent.

It takes 27 percent more energy to turn soybeans into biodiesel fuel and more than double the energy produced is needed to do the same to sunflower plants, the study found.

'Ethanol production in the United States does not benefit the nation's energy security, its agriculture, the economy, or the environment,' according to the study by Cornell's David Pimentel and Berkeley's Tad Patzek. They conclude the country would be better off investing in solar, wind and hydrogen energy."

There is even a neocon aspect to this (note the name Frank Gaffney), the thinking being that use of ethanol will reduce dependence on Middle Eastern oil and thus remove any political influence that Muslim countries might have on American foreign policy in the Middle East. Fuel from corn is a neocon/agribusiness fraud, and just encourages the agricultural subsidies that are the real reason for much third-world poverty. There is still the possibility that fuel can eventually be produced economically from straw and agricultural waste (cellulose ethanol, the energy for which comes from the plant waste itself), but the research has not yet been done.

  • Trees & People

    Trees come and go

    Trees are a renewable resource

Wood stoves keep people warm at night

People pass away, while young trees grow big and strong

People worry about trees, that will shade their headstones

People worry about trees, while some families  break up, because they cannot afford all of the taxation,......... and housing costs due to timber regulations,.... and government regulations built into housing costs......The people do languish with sullen faces.

Poor people live in concrete and mortar warehouses (government projects).  Concrete concentration camps are the homes of the poor, so that we spare the trees

Hopeless youth, hopeless Black youth, living in the brick jungle, in order that we save the trees

Spare the whales, trees and seals.......Let the people live in government brick jungles.

    Enviro-Fascists,

When you stop heating your homes, driving your European cars, and burning fuel flying to Europe, then you will have attained credibility.

Until that time comes, when Enviros stop burning fuels to survive, you'll continue to be transparent hypocrites.

  • Global Cooling - Burn More Fuels

We can achieve Global Cooling By Burning More Fuels:

    A) Expel more carbons into the atmosphere

    B) As the increased carbons rise into the upper atmosphere, the penetration of the Solar rays will be less.  The earth will cool, due to the Sun's rays being blocked by increased carbons in the atmosphere.

    C) After Global Cooling has been achieved, we can clean the atmosphere again by burning less fuels, if we need a little Global Warming.

Americans are EIGHT-HUNDRED-BILLION DOLLARS in personal debt (est.).

You folks really believe Average Americans can afford costly enviro-friendly energy solutions, while laden with such debt.  Affordability through mass production is far off.

Any person who understands economics, can connect the dots to the unrealistic goals and expectations committed to Average Americans, when it comes to affording costly enviro-solutions.

If see the big-picture unfolding, and really want to know what the future holds, we can discuss our future in real terms.

I doubt any of you understand the manufacturing development process.

The solutions you people are contemplating, cannot be massed produced before THE Mid-East war.

The visions of everyone driving around in autos with solar panel bodies, is wonderful conversation for futurists.  Fantasies are good for well being.

Mass production of solar panels for home heating purposes, have been discussed since the 1973 "Oil Embargo".....Still very few Americans can afford Solar Heating panels for home heating.

1973 to 2006 is thirty-three years of discussion, with little results.  (Who stopped Enviros from investing in, and mass-producing solar panels anyway?)

I suppose some moron is going to say: we all need to take out massive equity loans on our homes, to pay for solar panel covered homes.  Most Average Americans are already maxed out on their home equity loans.  Large personal investments for enviro-friendly energy solutions, are out of the question.

  • Fact are "inert"?

    Fact are "inert"?

I always thought facts are immutable.

There are not differing opinions of "facts".

There are not two sets of "facts" that oppose another.  Otherwise, they cannot both be "facts" if they do not align.

    For instance:

It can never be a "fact", that Stalin was a reasonable man.  This is not, and can never be a "fact".

It can never be a "fact", that millions were not killed under Communism.

It can never be a "fact", that Eric Clapton is the finest guitarist, because there is not way of establishing this "fact".  Facts and opinions are not the same.

It has not been established as "fact" that U.S. consumers are causing "global warming".

  • Ice Caps Melting - Don't Drive To Work

    OK!...Ok!

The ice caps are melting.  We're going through ANOTHER warming (and cooling) phase in the planet.

So the answer is: don't drive to work tomorrow, even though the commute is 25-miles and 32-degrees outside.  Yes, I'll get my ten-speed out for the long cold journey.  Hope my bike will be safe on the ice patches.  If I slide on a patch of ice and get killed, at least I will have helped save the planet by not driving to work, and burning less fuel.

I'll keep my home colder.  Turn down the thermostat until I can seem my breath.  I'll use less energy this way.

Taking showers uses energy to heat the water by burning gas.  I'll start taking less showers, just like Europeans.  The smell coming off my body in the office will be offensive, but at least I'll be using less energy by not showering with hot water, and saving the planet by burning less fuel at the same time.

Anymore energy saving tips out there?

I wonder if Jon Stewart will be taking less showers, and driving less, and flying less between the two coasts?

    Corn To Ethanol
    ......Pushed by Brilliant Morons

It takes more energy to convert a kernel of corn into a atomized droplet of ethanol.

The ethanol propaganda (solution)is in high gear, due to Archer Daniels Midland stake in Washington ramming this nonsense down our throats with government mandates.

Ethanol = Huge Profits for Archer Daniels Midland

More Ethanol = Less food at the marketplace, and more expensive food for people

Just what we need now:  Turning our food crops into ethanol on a vast scale.

  • Clean Cars

Automobiles have never been cleaner than now.

We can expect to have hydrogen cars, after the last corn kernels from our farms have been converted into ethanol.

Clean(er)cars will come about after WWIII in the Middle East.

The fanatics will close off the Straight of Hormuz by sinking an oil tanker there. Once the Straight of Hormuz is closed off, the entire supply chain will be choked-off.

The Middle East is all bad news.  There will be no real solution without war.  Seven dollar per gallon gasoline will become a reality.  The US economy is going to worsen as a matter of course.

You will never see ticker-tape victory parades in NYC ever again, as long as this nation is in existence.

We are certainly a nation under judgment in Biblical terms.
