  • What your catalytic converters can do...

I believe that some of the reasons why we are now experiencing this so called global warming is the improper usage of our favorite engine's exhaust system. Like our vw exhaust, mufflers and the like. Being a responsible car owner also means monitoring our car's impact not only to our society but to mother nature as well. A good catalytic converter will help minimize the effect of pollution caused by harmful products expelled my our car's exhaust system...This is also one act of being a responsible citizen and as well as car owner...Our concern for our environment,'coz in the end it is us who will suffer from all of these...
Your vehicle's  catalytic converter plays an essential role in reducing harmful emissions. When your catalytic converter is working properly it successfully changes auto emissions into harmless water vapor. When your catalytic converter is malfunctioning, the pollutants leaving your vehicle can exacerbate local pollution levels. There are four ways for you to determine whether your catalytic converter needs replacing or not:1.Busted or rusted out converter body or end tubes.2.Small pieces of substrate in other areas of the exhaust system.3.No rattle in a pellitized converter (If the converter does not rattle, the pellets may have melted together or fallen out).4.A rattle in a monolithic converter (A rattle in this kind of converter indicates the substrate has separated.)If you are unable to determine failure your state, provincial, or local vehicle inspection program will reveal that to you the next time your car comes up for inspection. If your car fails its inspection, you will have to replace your catalytic converter before you car can be passed.Replacement of your catalytic converter is a procedure that can be done by professionals such as through your dealer's service department, through a muffler shop, or by a local garage. If you are handy, you can do the work yourself and save money on parts as well as on labor costs.Only purchase a catalytic converter that meets or exceeds your vehicle.I have here my  nissan 300ZX parts, and I am well satisfied with it...Again, driving without a catalytic converter is illegal and the potential harm you create to the atmosphere simply isn't worth it

If you are handy, you can do the work yourself and save money on parts as well as on labor costs.Only purchase a catalytic converter that meets or exceeds your vehicle.I have here my catalytic converter and Dodge fuel door, and I am well satisfied with it...Again, driving without a catalytic converter is illegal and the potential harm you create to the atmosphere simply isn't worth itOn An environmental-justice advocate responds to the biofuels boom posted 2 years, 2 months ago 12 Responses

  • Eco friendly car

I really like driving cars which are environment friendly like hybrid cars...Fuel efficiency and is not that a great issue when choosing cars 'coz, there's already a lot of car manufacturers who's designs were meant to solve that concern...

  • Train or car

I think I'll prefer traveling by train. I believe it would be much faster and convenient especially on long trips...It could save some money too for the fuel consumption..

  • What your catalytic converters can do...

Indeed owning a vehicle is quite a risky thing to decide on. There are a lot of factors to consider especially when it comes to the damage that it can contribute to our environment aside from its expensive maintenance...
According to a report in the Springfield News-Leader, catalytic converters are the hot ticket among light-fingered miscreants. Why? Because the emissions-control devices contain valuable elements including platinum, which can be removed and sold off. Aside from this, it could be of great help to our environment in minimizing harmful pollutants expelled by our engines...

  • On Car remodelling

Although there were a lot of new editions of cars in the market we could also make our old cars looks brand new with some creativity and lots of patience. What I did to my Honda is a totally old style of redressing a car. I just painted it anew. I put emphasis on its body since its the one more exposed to the external environment...I also added a new Honda head lights since it needs replacement...Well anyway, here is also a review about Honda's new editions. Maybe this could give some better idea...

The new, 2007 Honda CR-V is more powerful, more stylish and more comfortable than the previous-generation 2006 models. Its new suspension geometry delivers an improved ride and better, more responsive handling.
Buyers choose from three models, the LX, the EX and the EX-L. The latter comes trimmed in leather and can be fitted with an optional navigation system that incorporates a rearview video camera for safe and easy backing. All have four doors and seat five.
The engine, still an inline four cylinder, employs variable intake valve timing to optimize horsepower and torque for acceleration and cruising speeds. The transmission is a new, five-speed automatic. Real Time all-wheel drive is offered on all three models. The U.S. EPA rates the front-wheel drive CR-V at 23/30 city/highway miles per gallon and the all-wheel drive at 22/28.
Thus, buyers looking for peppy performance, snazzy styling and easier financing have better choices. But for Honda loyalists looking for something better than their current CR-V or an SUV to step up into from their Civic, the '07 is the logical way to go.
