I could barely believe my eyes as I read Noonan's essay. Thanks for writing so eloquently about what was so very wrong. It was an amazing amount of ignorance on display - actually a bit frightening that someone who seems to learned could be so biasedly-ignorant.
Gotta be projection. If all your friends are greedy and think only of money and power, then that has got to be what motivates the scientists, too.
