  • One of the prime assumptions of the market is that people always act in their own best interests. But often they do not. Here is an interesting well written article that Gristers would love to debate. http://www.miller-mccune.com/science_environment/buy-climate-change-now-with-added-warming-power-1447 "If polls show so many believe a crisis is unfolding, why are so few doing anything about it? NASA physicists probably couldn't answer that question. The people who can have rarely been asked. They are the behavioral experts, the psychologists who have long studied the disconnect between our attitudes and our actions, and who are now realizing themselves they have a role to play in climate policy."On The perfect market fallacy posted 2 months ago 9 Responses
  • We wish you the best of luck and success. We will be following your progress closely as your goals (and problems) are similar ours in building Solarhaven Arizona starting in 1999. See www.solarhaven.org

No money for a composting toilet?  Joseph Jenkins book is available as a free down load and is a fun read.  Go to www.humanurehandbook.com/index.html

The 5 gallon bucket method that we have been using for the last 5 years is great and need not cost much even with the fanciest "throne".

    Again good luck,

    Jim and Mindy

  • disposal of paint and supplies

To get rid of those paint buckets, brushes, paint, or anything and I do mean ANY usable thing that you no longer want, go to www.freecycle.org and click on the link to your city. there are freecycle groups all over the country now that connects people who have excess stuff with the people who can use it.  Don't landfill it! Freecycle it!On Umbra on paint disposal posted 1 year, 11 months ago 4 Responses
