  • Emily Drysdale should be on this list!

Untouched World is the home of New Zealand ethical luxury fashion, the first fashion company in the world to be recognised by the United Nations for sustainability.

Led by our very passionate design director, Emily Drysdale, the Untouched World brand grew out of a desire to create a positive, sustainable future. We believe you don't have to give up quality, luxury and style to be good to the planet and look after its people.

    What we're getting rid of:
    Manmade fibres
    Toxic chemicals
    Waste materials
    Excess use of energy
    Excess packaging
    Excess transportation
    Adverse effects on biodiversity

What we're making the most of:
    Versatility
    Durability
The ability to reuse and recycle

Our passion for ethical design flows through every element of our collections, from our buttons (recycled cotton through to sustainably harvested tagua nut), our textiles - we have an extensive organic cotton and merino sourcing programme - to where and how we produce each and every garment. We are focused on building transparency in our ethical sourcing and fair trade manufacturing initiatives.

We have been given permission by UNESCO to carry the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (UN DESD) logo on our labelling - one of only a small number of organisations internationally accredited, and the only fashion company.

In 2007, Untouched World and the Untouched World Charitable Trust, which works with young adults, developing life skills to maximise their potential and inspire them to lead the way in acheiving a sustainable future, became one of twelve global model companies assisting the UN in developing a strategy for corporate education for sustainability. Others include Shell, Cisco, Daimler Chrysler, Cap Gemini and Swarovski.

We recently launched two new websites, our global site www.untouchedworld.com, plus a European site, www.untouchedworld.co.uk.

Our sites have more information about Untouched World - we are pretty proud of what we have acheived to date, and have lots of plans for the future!
