From the moment my little digital alarm clock goes magically off, to when I open the refrigerator which is mysteriously cooling my food, to when I put on my lightweight waterproof hiking boots - gosh, I live a charmed life, thanks mostly to scientific research and development. Nearly every gadget, food item, piece of clothing and transport mechanism I use was developed through the scientific process.
Climatologists spend hours tediously measuring stuff like salt concentrations in the sea and gas bubbles in ice. They work much harder than blowhard wingnuts who, though they enjoy the fruits of science in every aspect of their lives, somehow think when it comes to climate, opinions based on rationalizations are good enough.
