New president, new direction for farming?
As a new resident of Chicago, and a member of the twentyish-student-farmer-environmentalist-conscious-lifestyle crowd, I'm thrilled about the upcoming Obama presidency. I have been working on and with organic farms www.msuorganicfarm.com and www.wwoof.org for a few years, and I have more hope than ever about the future of food in the USA and in the world. More and more people are thinking about their food choices, including our next president, and more farmers are starting to "go green"...only time will tell, but I think things are moving in the right direction.
