In a nut shell - cashews

I actually ate the 'apple' you refer to. I visited a wild mango/cashew 'farm' in Trinidad and ate the fruit of the cashew plant...which has a funny, sticky/tangy taste/texture.  Anyways, the cashew nut actually sits on top of the fruit, not inside like a usual seed.  And it is encased it a toxic coating or shell.  There's no need to use pesticides on a cashew for this reason.  It has it's own very suitable protection and the mangos were not sprayed either.  On Umbra on organic cashews posted 3 years, 6 months ago 2 Responses
