We need to combat complacency
I think these ads play a necessary role. With so many of our politicians saying that global warming isn't real, that the changes are minimal, or that we can't upset the economy to do anything about it...the public needs to know that it is actually serious. We won't be able to take any national action on this issue until people demand it. Isn't that the way that environmental issues work? Why do you think that global warming is an important environmental issue to solve immediately? It's probably not just because you just want the earth to be healthy.
