  Nice emotional tirade, Mike, but there was a lot more going on than Kaine & coal.  Like, national gravitas and experience.  Balancing the ticket.  You forget Carter and W balanced their tickets with Mondale and Cheney, experienced DC insiders.

  More importantly, besides the strong lip service Obama has given climate and green jobs, remember that he also campaigned on "clean coal" and is from a state with a significant coal lobby (from its southern tier).

  I'd say that a larger strike against Kaine was the prospect of a Republican Lt.
