  I agree with this article, but encourage action even if you can't go to D.C. on Oct. 24. We are speaking out as parents, citizens a married couple and attorneys, but our opinions are based on more than 20 years each as enforcement attorneys at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the San Francisco Regional Office. Congress is about to make a huge mistake on climate change. Our video explains why Congress is getting it wrong and what they could be doing to get it right, in three segments we call: the Big Lie, the Big Rip-Off and the Real Solution. We believe that the weak targets and inappropriate mechanisms chosen in the Boxer/Kerry/Waxman/Markey bills would lock in climate degradation.   While I believe that Waxman-Markey and the proposed Senate bill (Boxer/Kerry) will lock in climate degradation, and therefor are actually worse than nothing, I do not believe that the situation is hopeless. There is a real, effective and affordable solution, just no powerful monied interests to push it.   We have great respect for Obama and believe that he see climate change as an urgent problem. However, the Waxman/Markey ACES approach he is supporting is fatally flawed.
