  Katrina/Rising Insurance Costs/Ceres report

  
  Worth noting that the new report by Ceres, where I work, was written by three insurance industry experts for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), who were planning to discuss climate change at their fall meeting Sept. 10 in New Orleans. The fall meeting was cancelled, so the discussion will now take place in December as part of the NAIC's winter meeting. Among those in NAIC with big concerns on the climate issue are Nebraska State Insurance head Tim Wagner and Oregon state insurance head Joel Ario who both participated in a news conference announcing the report Sept. 8.
