  Hi - helpful analysis, thanks.  I think this just goes to underline my current thinking.  Namely that there are far too few people and far too little political will to make the necessary changes to avert climate change.  Nobody [of those causing most of the problem] actually wants to consider how much they would have to reduce their standard of living, which for most is quite a lot.  Hence few actually do it.

  The hard reality is that although self change is the moral and environmental option, it is very unlikely that we are going to be able to stop climate change.

  So we're faced with the reality of a changed climate and how we think/plan for it.
