I'm a walker. I do not own a car, nor do I have a license, and I rarely find myself in motorized vehicles. I think that cars suck. Any capable person who can't use their own two legs to walk to the grocery store is part of the problem. I guess that cars have their purpose, but way too many people use them foolishly, selfishly, and carelessly.

I'm all for Earth Day and I think that those who are bashing it should really stop looking upon themselves as gods and instead of condemning a well meant day, they should be there to encourage others. "Screw Earth Day" lends absolutely no encouragement to others. It's fully arrogant and without merit.
Earth Day is the only holiday that I celebrate and I will never, ever subscribe to the notion that it is improper to celebrate our planet just as others celebrate Easter or Christmas. It's absurd to expect environmentalists or anyone else to not celebrate Earth Day.

I walk nearly everywhere that I go, I do my best to reduce, reuse, and recycle. I really think that this "Screw Earth Day" is a very arrogant, lousy way to get a message across. I do my best every day. I walk to work, to the grocery store, to pay bills, nearly everywhere. The christians have their Easter, let me have my one, single holiday - Earth Day.
Before you place yourself too high on a pedestal, remember that fires start with a spark. Give people Earth Day and hopefully the spark of environmentalism will ignite.
