  Thanks for the great reporting.  I am a Verizon customer and had no idea this was going on.  I did think it was pretty hilarious that a Verizon ad came up on the Grist site right underneath your article.

  Libraries are our friends

  Wouldn't reading library books, or books borrowed from friends and family be the most environmental option?  You are not creating the demand for more books (and thus more paper production, transportation emissions, etc.), and you get the enjoyment of holding a book in your hand and can read it anywhere without electricity.  You never have to worry about what file format it is in or what the next technological advance might be.On Umbra on e-books posted 11 months ago 9 Responses
