  Progressive's Use of Numbers are BS

  It amazes me how people go on spouting numbers that make absolutely no sense at all. For instance, one of the links points to a page that says this:

  "For each pound of aluminum recovered, Americans save the energy resources to generate about 7.5 kilowatt-hours of electricity. That's enough energy to meet the electric needs of a city the size of Pittsburgh, PA for six years."

  How absurd! According to my Edison bill, last month I used 975 kwh in my home, about one twentieth of what Al Gore used. This means that in one month, my home used enough energy to light the city of Pittsburgh for 780 years. Is also means that in one month, Al (the greenie) Gore used enough energy to light Pittsburgh for 15,600 years. How's that for a carbon footprint?  

  Doesn't anyone ever check anything any more?
