  Too Little, Too Late?

  Congratulations to California, but we need to move MUCH more aggressively if we hope to head off the worst of the looming environmental catastrophe!  Why not 25% in six, 50% in 10 years, 80% by 2020?  As a nation we have done much harder things in the past.  The technology is all available now to get the job done, and we are running out of time!

  Food & Politics 2006: The China Study

  I was disappointed not to see Dr. Colin Campbell's landmark 2006 work THE CHINA STUDY on this shortlist.  It is not specifically about how our food is produced, but it does strike at the core of the politics of food in America, the myriad health crises (including the cost-of-health-care crisis) directly related to the "great American diet" and ongoing corporate promotion of same, and what we can all do about it right now!
