mmmm vegan food
Dave, check out theppk.com for some easily accessible (and awesome tasting) vegan recipes. You can search for recipes by main ingredient or by meal.
Also, check out Isa Chandra Moskowitz's two cookbooks: Vegan with a Vengeance and Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. But beware... you may soon eat vegan cupcakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On That's it for me and industrial meat posted 2 years, 9 months ago 46 Responses

ocean energy developments
This technology, as well as other ocean energy technologies shown to have limited environmental impacts, will be strong additions country's renewable energy portfolio. While licensing these technologies is currently burdensome (both financially and in terms of time), we can hope that Verdant Power's tidal energy project and AquaEnergy's Makah Bay wave energy project will pave the way for a simpler licensing process in the future.
Collaborative work with interested and affected groups is proving to be fundamental to ocean energy development. Both Verdant Power and AquaEnergy have worked with local and national stakeholders for several years to install test turbines and garner support for their projects. Similarly, the burgeoning movement in Oregon to make the state the leader in wave energy development and to create a wave energy research and demonstration center has required significant collaborative efforts among governmental and research organizations, fishermen, environmental groups, and others. A groundswell of local, dedicated effort will be key to creating and shaping national policy on ocean energy.
(Additional Note: Verdant Power's turbines actually run at a speed of 30-32 rpm, not 75 rpm as stated in the video. The reference to "75rpm" should have been to "75 Hz.")On Tidal power in the East River posted 2 years, 10 months ago 6 Responses
