  Oil and Gas Auction in Utah

  Tomorrow the BLM will auction off over 100,000 acres of pristine wilderness in Southern Utah.  Where can we find out what sort of public comment was made during the 30-day period that took place in November?  Judging by the media and popular backlash I have read, I can't imagine the comments were good.On Umbra on homegrown meat posted 10 months, 3 weeks ago 33 Responses

  Mileage advertisements

  I have to take this chance to say that mileage advertisements, even in the name of hybrids, is pretty much BS.  The way the car companies woo consumers with "new, cutting-edge" hybrids that only get 25-30 mpg makes me really sick.  Honda, Toyota, and for much longer VW have had 40+ mpg vehicles.  Even my 2003 4-cyl Saturn Vue gets 27mpg!  Of course it's body panels are made of tupperware to cut weight and dents - where is THAT kind of brilliance!?!  I bet the plastic is even post-consumer...On As long as the feds are restructuring auto companies, why not drag them into the 21st century? posted 11 months, 1 week ago 3 Responses

  This is a good thing right?

  The fact that Obama supported clean coal technologies has been a major thorn in my side with his typically green voting record.  If they were in his pocket, then who else is?  Obviously this affects his home state and his clean coal mantra - does congress have enough information to understand that billions should not be spent on questionable technologies like coal, but on more definitively clean energy initiatives should Obama try to push it again?  Do you think they will continue to support environmentally-friendly energy moves with the intelligence to not support things like clean coal and coal to liquid?  On Department of Energy backs away from funding Future posted 1 year, 9 months ago 12 Responses
