Food security in Haiti...
I just want to plant a few 1000 trees in Haiti...... and get some carbon offset credits.
and get a humanitarian corporation to pay for it. So I can turn around and buy some seeds and some food for orphans. Is that so hard? Food insecurity... we need to get ahead. Food Preservation?
Throw in a few sunovens so I can cook the food.
And dry some of the produce... we don't wast much, but we don't stockpile either. It costs alot to preserve food. Now expand this to the whole village... so we need some cash, I want to sell some carbon offset credits for all the food growing we have to reestablish since the hurricanes.. Can't we guilt some of these game playing US corporate folks into at least supporting our side of the game...the part that's not fixed.
With Haiti I don't even know where to post this... food, energy, environment, politics... please don't get too hung up on the Hummers versus Prius's ... there is another world out here.
