Another great recipe!
I made this on Friday night for dinner, with modifications based on what I had on hand. I used vegetable bouillon instead of stock. I didn't have harisa, and as I have an aversion to visiting the grocery store, I made a paste of garlic and cayenne: about half a teaspoon of pressed garlic and maybe an eighth of a teaspoon of cayenne. And, I added a small regular potato in addition to the sweet one that was just a bit small. (In my kitchen, this is actually relatively few modifications!)
It was, despite the changes, still delicious, and even better reheated the next day. I think Henry Dave would approve - the veggies came from a CSA farm just down the road from Walden Pond. Except the tomatoes - these were our first tomatoes from the garden; they were volunteers from the compost and came up late! I hope more will ripen before the frost. On An autumn swim at Walden, a warm robe, and a piping hot bowl of soup posted 2 years, 1 month ago 7 Responses

Dressing is Delicious
I was inspired - I came home from work today to a bunch of yummy CSA veggies, and I remembered reading this recipe. I made it, and it was delicious!
I served it (okay, poured it) over a salad of mizuna, arugula, radish, tomato, onion, and broccoli...and then I used a piece of bread to scrape the leftover dressing off the bowl at the end of the meal. I'm eagerly awaiting another salad for lunch tomorrow.
From now on, instead of just reading Roz's recipes and thinking, "oh, that looks tasty," I'll come straight home and make them!
Thanks, Roz!On On summer's end and salad dressing posted 2 years, 3 months ago 3 Responses
