I liked this. I have always told my friends that I hate the concept of wedding dresses—they didn't come about as a symbol of purity, they came about as a symbol of wealth (Queen Victoria wore the first one to show that she could afford to clean a white dress and also to only wear it once). Not only that, but white is like, the most unflattering color on most people. I love a beautiful wedding dress, but I'm not into the materialism. I'd rather be able to wear the dress again and remember all the fun times I've had in it!
Oh yeah: I love when people put their invitations on a little placard instead of a monstrous posterboard because then I can stick it on my fridge!

So I'm on Loestrin 24 and have been for years, and I don't need any of this stuff anymore. And my doctor says there's nothing wrong with me! So I consider myself fairly environmentally friendly in this department. Now, I wonder how damage is caused from producing those lovely little pills...On A review of eco-minded feminine products, part two posted 11 months, 3 weeks ago 22 Responses

I agree. Whole Foods is a solid thirty or so miles away from my house--is that worth it? Other than that, I love Brita. The taste is great and it's better than plastic bottles. I'm glad they're putting in more of an effort than just, "We were green already!"On Brita announces recycling program for used water filters posted 11 months, 3 weeks ago 7 Responses
