Crude
This movie should be interesting. Here is an amazing account of the toxic mess that Texaco and Chevron have created in the Amazon rainforest. This is a Bloomberg article that appeared couple days ago. You will want to read this. Here's the link: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&refer ...

Chevron
The only thing Chevron will worry about is how to make more money! They shouldn't be allowed to have any say in anything until they deal with the mess they left in Ecuador. Environmental criminals
Does anyone care what all those toxins will do to people who live there? Look at Ecuador where Chevron dumped over 18 billion gallons of oil and toxic water into the streams. Today the drinking water is contaminated and over 1,000 people have died from cancer and thousands more are sick with skin disease and respiratory illness.

Consequences
If they were held responsible for that crash and spillage then Chevron should definitely pay for they did in Ecuador. Dumping 18 billion gallons of oil and toxic water into the streams, contaminating drinking water, destroying people's lives cannot go unpunished! impact on the people
"..shameless disregard of human rights and environmental protection for the sake of extraction industry profits" It's exactly what Chevron did in Ecuador. Texaco (Chevron bought Texaco in 2001) dumped over 18 billion gallons of oil and toxic water into the streams. Today the drinking water is contaminated and over 1,000 people have died from cancer and thousands more are sick with skin disease and respiratory illness.
