  Come On!

  Are you kidding me right now? Global warming doesn't exist??...yes that is what they would all like you to believe isn't it. Do you really think that this is a money making, charity scheme thought up by environmentalists. Aren't there easier ways to make money and since when does Al Gore NEED money? It's like saying that smoking doesn't kill you...but what the heck...you're going to die anyways right? Just because you are naturally going to die does not mean that smoking a pack a day isn't going to speed it up significantly!!!! How can anyone with any sort of common sense think that there are no consequences to polluting our planet and depleting our natural resources? Where does this insane mentality come from? Would you rather sit back and do nothing and hope that it isn't true or WAKE UP and do what you can....just in case they are right? That would be one heck of OOPS wouldn't it? For sake of argument, let's just say that it does not exist...is it so bad to have corporations behaving responsibly and people taking care of the Earth like we should be without threat of our extinction being the tipping point?   Houston, we have a problem!

  Yes we have some serious problems and I think that the artic should be getting a lot more attention than it is!! There are some great groups working on getting the word out like the NRDC and Sierra Club to name a couple so maybe more public awareness will push the powers that be to make some drastic changes if it's not too late. My fear is that it is but we have to continue to fight for it.

  I was able to pick up an advanced readers' edition of a very interesting book today called The World Without Us by Alan Weisman which is a thought experiment on how our planet would respond without our human presence. It looks like very interesting reading indeed and I recommend that you take a look at the book once it hits book shelves in July of 2007. We are like a virus and the planet will survive and take care of itself...it is us that we will really be saving by taking action to stop the insanity!   Al Gore

  I really wish like a lot of people that Al Gore would run again. I think he would win without the need for a recount! We need his type of leadership in our country today and I hope that whoever gets into office works towards getting this country back on track.
