  suv with fuel economy

  I am super concerned about MPG.
  I mostly drive a 93 honda civicVX which gets
  50MPG most of the time.
  My business requires that I have room to carry sound equipment to a gig so rather than buy a van that get 10 MPG I bought a 2001 toyota rav4 standard shift and front wheel drive only.
  I bought it used so I lucked out.
  I get 30 MPG and thats the truth.  When I'm not carrying equipment and I'm easy on the gas pedal I can get 34/35MPG.
  It is a good compromise and a nice car

  pork chops

  When I was raising my four children on an old farm
  we bought a small pig many years ago with the intention of turning him into pork chops in the fall as most old time farmers used to do.
  As the summer rolled by we became friends with george(yes the pig had a name) and by the fall george was about 500 pounds and eating 100 pounds of food each week.  When the time came to turn george into pork chops I considered keeping him as a pet but george consumed 100 pounds of food per week and it was too costly.
  Very sadly(understatement) we took george to the greek farmer who assured me that the end would be very quick.  We never raised another animal for food again.

  down with bottled water

  I purchased kleankanteens.com  stainless water bottles and I use them all the time instead of plastic water bottles.
  I heard that only 13% of plastic water bottles are recycled.  If it's true the rest are in landfills to pollute the groundwater aquifiers.
  I NH where I live a huge multi national water bottling company if muscleing it's way into the small town of Nottingham, NH.  The bottling company wants to pump millions of gallons of ground water from the limited aquifier under the town that has taken thousands of years to accumulate.  When they suck it dry they will leave.  Some people in the town and surrounding towns have organized to stop the company from setting up a bottling plant.
  Go to your local health food store and purchase a stainless water bottle to use and your tap water is probably better than most bottled water.
