  Agreeing Some With Both of You

  Another voice from the "mainstream" media here. I applaud both Andrew and David for different points. I'm glad that Revkin wrote the article and showed that there are other voices out there besides environmentalists and conservatives shouting at each other over climate change.

  But I agree with David that there really is no climate debate. I guess the big question now is, what are we going to do about climate? We need all voices to push for change.

  On Corn Mugs and Cupholders

  I recently purchased (as gifts) some travel mugs made from corn plastic. These have printing on them saying they are made from corn -- and they have narrow bottoms so they can fit into cupholders. In our car-dependent society, being cupholder-ready is a big plus for a mug. I got 'em from ecoproducts.com. Another source for similar mugs is recycledproducts.com; they might even custom-print on them for you.

  Another note: The corn mugs I bought can only be hand-washed. My wife mistakenly put one in the dishwashwer and it changed shape, but is still usable. On Umbra on travel mugs posted 3 years ago 22 Responses

  Hey, it's $3 billion more than we had yesterday to slow global warming. It will take rich philanthropists (or opportunists), plus the states and cities taking action on climate change first, before the U.S. government will do much. And billionaires from island nations may feel the heat more, so to speak.
