I would love to see some data on the greenhouse gas emissions of corn production, if anyone knows of any. Then you could add the greenhouse gas emisisons of the amount of corn one CAFO cow eats to their farts/burps emissions, and compare it to the farts/burps emissions of a pastured cow.

Palmolive "Eco" works
I also found that certain (ie Seventh Generation) eco-friendly detergents didn't work so well. So I tried a bunch more and found that the conventional Palmolive's "Eco" detergent (gel) works quite well. I have no idea whether its as eco-friendly as the non-conventional brands, but it does seem to work better. I also pre-scrub the really dirty ones with a small bowl of soapy water and a sponge. Good luck!On Umbra on eco-friendly detergents posted 10 months, 3 weeks ago 13 Responses

fur teddy bears
I had an old fur coat made into a teddy bear, which I absolutely adore. I highly recommend it for sentimental furs that you want to keep and enjoy without actually wearing.

What's wrong with low-fat?
You have two paragraphs criticizing the low-fat fad but failed to say why low-fat food is bad. I agree that processing the fat out of avocados is stupid but what about meat and dairy? On On the peculiar American habit of demonizing food posted 2 years, 6 months ago 22 Responses
