Cups vary!
Although the actual measurements of different brands of cups vary by only tiny amounts, I found one brand (Diva) uncomfortable to the point of being unusuable, while another brand (the Mooncup) works fine for me. Slight differences in shape can make all the difference in usability, so I encourage people not to give up if one doesn't fit. I did it!
When I lived in a tiny one-bed, I read a bunch about how to make bins and came up with these instructions: www.twichell.net/sarah/worms.html
One thing I've learned since then: the $8 tupperware bins work fine! The ones to stay away from are the $3 ones made by Sterlite. Also, I've had the most success with wetting only about half of the newspaper I put in. If they're climbing for the top, it's too wet!On Umbra on composting with worms posted 1 year ago 9 Responses

Clothespin-free!
You only really need clothespins for outdoor lines: indoor lines can have things draped over them, just as you would on a rack. Although you can hang more things if you can be bothered with the clothespins, I usually can't be!On Umbra on communal clothes drying posted 1 year, 9 months ago 12 Responses
