  Obama is on Obama's side

  Unfortunately, I can't tell what side Obama is on other than Obama's side, he seems willing and with a history of saying whatever he thinks those listening want to hear, and then voting whichever way those with the most power want him to vote, regardless of what he's said ten minutes earlier. Look at Cheney's energy bill.   So,...there are no Green Candidates?

  Hard to tell about Obama, as he seems to say whatever he thinks the group he is speaking to wants to hear, and seems willing to contradict it five minutes later when questioned about it by the press.

  McCain appears to have some green leanings but they are trapped beneath a lot of corporate interests and the need to pander to a far right, anti-science base.

  "First time detected" means what

  Could mean that "we've looked continously and in detail for a long time and this is the first time we've ever seen this phenomenon."
  Unfortunately, in this case, it means something more along the lines of, "This is the first time we've had equipment capable of detecting this phenomenon in place upon an occassion of this phenomenon's expression."On 'Mars and Pluto are warming too'--No they aren't -- and what if they were? posted 2 years, 7 months ago 24 Responses
