A new twist for CO2 re-use, recycle ?
Both Hillary and Al Gore obviously don't really understand the basics of CO2 sequestration. And their well-meaning gatekeepers have kept some technology secrets from reaching these two individuals simply because these salaried "office guards" don't understand what they've been told.
The technology to siphon or vacuum CO2 emissions from land-based industrial and coal-fired power plant smokestacks already exists. Ammine Glycol does the job quite well albeit somewhat expensively. But what to do with this immense quantity of sequestered global warming greenhouse gas? Pump it at high pressure into the ground? Into the oceans? Anybody really considering that this sequestered CO2 gas will stay put in the earth's strata or remain in water bodies? Hardly...
The petroleum industry has figured out that sequestered CO2 can cling to certain strata and thereby loosen up and cause depleted oil fields to flow again thereby releasing a bit more residual crude oil into older well bores. But what else? This old oilfied regeneration means of utilizing sequestered CO2 isn't making any dent in available quantities of greenhouse gas being vented to the planet's atmosphere every day...
A DOE sequestration scientist admitted to me in conversation that if the CO2 portion of emissions from just coal-fired power plants operating in the lower 48 states were to be captured, sequestered and liquified (resembling something like a precursor to dry ice) that this volume of liquid CO2 would more than fill Lake Erie each and every year! Apparently there is one hellava lot of CO2 being released into our atmosphere via the process of incomplete oxidation combustion of coal and even methane in centralized industrial boilers and don't forget cement kilns...
The third week of June, Hillary filmed a short political commercial in the Mount Kisco Diner 25 miles north of NYC near her home in Westchester County. This political commercial was a parody of very popular HBO Soprano's gangster series and while running on TV, the snippet was also being viewed on the internet.

After this filming which took place on a Sunday morning - she and Bill were presented with a bottled sample of a new green biofuel which utilized CO2 as one-half of the waste carbon process feedstocks used to cleanly synthesize it for less than 50¢ per gallon.
Apparently Hillary still didn't realize the message herein - understanding that polluting CO2 greenhouse gas can can be recycled and profitably utilized as a biodegradable oxy-bridging solution to the conventional hydrocarbon economies of petroleum-derived fuels or even coal. The chemical secret herein involves the oxygen atoms contained within both CO2 and H2O as the source of new biofuel's biodegradability characteristics. Maybe Obama or Kucinich would recognize this answer still escaping the folks who designed the Kyoto Protocols?

Hydrogen Hallucinations - Boom!
I'm not an engineer, I'm not a scientist. But I'm told it's not a big deal to tweak gas stations so that you can come up with a truck, dump the liquid hydrogen in there, and pump it in your car. So we shift everything over to liquid hydrogen and there's no more pollution.

Mike Gravel says it best: He's not an engineer nor is he a scientist. Then how the hell can he spout anything about liquid hydrogen (hallucinations) and simply pump it into your car?
Gravel is herein intensifying more disinformation concerning the diversionary ruse of hydrogen. I guess he's never heard of a hydrogen bomb before?
He and others like Gov. Arnie don't understand anything concerning the science involving the tiniest atom - H is number one on the atomic chart of elements because it is the smallest atom. And one of the most explosive.

Coal to Liquids
I see Grist pushing and questioning Barack once again about coal to liquids. Several weeks ago Grist was covering a supposed flip-flop by this candidate on the same subject which is NOT well understood by scientists and even less well understood by the media and average citizens.
Questions: I wonder what Amanda or Barack would think of a special coal to liquids process which recycled CO2 emissions as more elemental carbon atoms of feedstock, just like the coal itself? And what if this process didn't produce a float-on-water oil, albeit sulfur free? What if some specific new clean coal technology which has remained hidden for the past 35 years were to suddenly show up and a new biodegradable fuel revolution would then begin?
Just curious.

Obama and Coal to Liquids / not all the same
Poor ole' Obama is getting bombed.
Enviros consider that all CTL or coal-to-liquids fuel products are the same. They are NOT !!!
Fischer-Tropsch synfuel technology was developed by Hitler's chemists to produce alternative fuels for his WW II efforts. These very same FT elements are being touted by promoters right now rather big time in the USA.
Their FT chemistry sets are very, very expensive and may take 5 years to construct. The CTL folks talk mostly about synthetic diesel and naptha as products produced from the coal. These CTL promoters never talk about leftover paraffin waxes which there is no market for. And they don't want to talk about all the CO2 which is offgassed as the ground coal feedstock is otherwise rather cleanly and efficiently gasified into synthesis gas (CO & H2) as the building blocks to produce long-chained paraffin waxes.
These waxy chains are 40 to 60 carbons long. It then takes hydrogen to break these carbon-carbon bonds of the wax into smaller molecules. And the discussion typically stops here with synthetic diesel being the principle "end product" from CTL. Syndiesel IS cleaner combusting than petroleum diesel is and sulfur free as well. However very little talk or education goes into what happens next to produce kerosene-based jet fuel or synthetic gasoline instead of syndiesel. And NO talk goes into patents on syndiesel/petroleum diesel formula usage blends owned by Exxon.
Well, this CTL process needs 2x the hydrogen quantities for hydrocracking the paraffin waxes into jet fuel as when compared to synthetic diesel. The synfuel refiners need 3x to 4x the hydrogen atoms to convert paraffin wax into even shorter molecules resembling gasoline.
How do they isolate Hydrogen from the coal? This is rather easy to accomplish however they offgas a pure slipstream of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere when isolating the Hydrogen from hydrocarbon coal. Hydrogen in quantity is pretty expensive to isolate for refinery processes which gobble so much of it up. Any oil refinery is always on the lookout for more, cheap hydrogen used to convert thicker, waxier hydrocarbon (oily) molecules into thinner, more profitable fuel molecules.
What IF someone figured out how to recycle all this CO2 and use it for carbon feedstock - just like the coal which was used for carbonaceous feedstock to produce the alternative fuel in the first place? Sir Richard?
What IF someone figured out how to produce a new, stronger Btu (biodegradable) green biofuel from the coal instead of float-on-water syndiesel? And accomplish this at 1/4 to 1/2 the construction costs of the Fischer-Tropsch synfuels plants resulting in brand new biofuel that could be synthesized for less than 50¢ per gallon and be blended back into all flavors of refined petroleum products.
Obama: Stay tuned Sir. There is a sleeping green giant waking up that you might like to ride a good ways down the block - whether in Illinois or in D.C.
Best Regards,
Gary Bridge
