    Living with Ed

Mr. Nonymous and I watched Living with Ed when it first aired on HGTV and came away with an impression that is the exact opposite of Patterson's. We found Ed to be interesting--and aware that not everyone is going to become as green as he is right away. Also, he makes a great spot cleaner. On Critic bashes new eco-tainment network posted 1 year, 4 months ago 5 Responses

    Green Baby Books

I was pregnant a few months ago and found that The Complete Organic Pregnancy made me feel incredibly stressed. The more I read, the more I felt that no matter what I did, I was always going to miss something that would poison my baby.

The thing is, that's true. I can't babyproof the world. But this particular book didn't make me feel as if the more I did, the better off I was. It made me feel like my baby was doomed. I'll check out the two recommended books next time, but I'm not going back to Dolan and Zissu's book. On A tired pregnant chick "tests" six green baby books posted 1 year, 5 months ago 4 Responses

    RE: Except that

"Except thats only the case If they would otherwise:

       1. Voted for a Republican
       2. Not vote at all

Which is a pretty big If, for all but a small fraction."

I don't think that holds true. Those votes would still not have gone to Gore.

Hillary knows she's losing, and although she won't admit it explicitly, it's clear in everything she says. This is another example.

And I think Nader never really runs for president. He runs for a higher profile. But if that profile appeals to people, they do get to vote for it--our  political system does allow for that.On Notable quotable posted 1 year, 8 months ago 20 Responses

    Green Party

I understand what she's saying, just like I understood it in 2000. But, and it's a big but, that's one of the risks inherent in the system. If people felt that Nader and/or the Green Party represented their interests more than Gore and/or the Democrats, then it's more a case of the latter losing those votes than the former taking them away.On Notable quotable posted 1 year, 8 months ago 20 Responses
