    Food for the Beef

    Free range the damn cows!

It's healthier and better for the short lives of the cattle. Don't get me wrong I like steaks etc. But my mother has proceeded to raise her own beef the last three years, and honestly it tastes great and we actually make some money off the damned animals. And that's one or two cows a year.
I don't the differences for large herds, but I would assume that if a small family of six can raise a few cows a year and make some money off it, then so can the meat markets. On Why agribusiness giants are facing off over corn ethanol posted 2 years, 5 months ago 3 Responses

    Recycling?

I don't know if your schools got one already, but you can establish a community recycling center that is very accepting of many hard to recycle products as well.
There are only hard to get to, on the outskirts places in my community I know where to go, otherwise I also have found a fantastic store "New Seasons Market" that will recycle many hard to and not typically recycled materials. I appreciate it a lot and hopefully the people in your community would as well. On Umbra on class gifts, again posted 2 years, 6 months ago 3 Responses

    Living

I find its far more enjoyable and less of a stress to go shopping where I see friends behind the counters and have lovely conversations, unlike my mothers stressful, fast passed, long line, grumpy shopping on her lunch break at Costco.

Ew! Bulk shopping where the foods already bad and now you need to eat it in under a week!On Umbra on online shopping posted 2 years, 6 months ago 22 Responses

    Two with one stone!

Well it's to seems far more efficient to me to keep the car parked and walk to the store. Carrying my own cloth bag, especially when in cities. It's a good time to take a stroll, relax, look at the world around you and help the environment! No worries about weather a car is more wasteful vs the packaging, eliminating both!
