  Irony is for suckers too...

  I took kung-fu for a few weeks several years ago, and the instructor told us to never fight out of anger.  I think Lisa Renstrom and Bob Perkowitz failed to head my instructor's advice because their arguments are sloppy and exagerated.  

  Their point about upping our pragmatism is well taken. Hey, if a Republican gets a good grade when it comes to the environment and you're an environmental organization, then endorse away.  Likewise, if a megastore does something good for the environment, note it and figure out how you can help them do more.

  Help! Call the Policy!

  While Ford and BP could have good intentions, they will not make all of the necessary changes to curtail our climate crisis until there is policy mandating them to do so.  So, Congress, how about showing some leadership--or at least following your constituents--and enact legislation that will cut carbon while promoting clean energy and efficiency?On Are the world's green-biz supermen losing their powers? posted 3 years, 3 months ago 2 Responses

  Off the Wall

  Chris,

  The National Review's offices are just a few floors below my cubicle.  I'm building a wall, Les Nessman-style, to keep their sea of ignorance from rising into my workspace.  If it works for global warming (and the Dutch), I hope it works for me.

  More Deadly than Snakes on a Plane

  While nuclear waste is deadly, the siren song of nuclear generated carbon cuts is deceptive and dangerous.  Mining, processing and storing the waste are fossil fuel intensive.  They could eventually cancel out many of the greenhouse gas reductions generated by nukes.On Nuclear power is complicated, dangerous, and definitely not the answer posted 3 years, 3 months ago 40 Responses
